Real Estate in the age of Coronavirus

People have asked “Are people still buying houses during a global pandemic?” Yes! At least in Portland they are. We had a quiet month or so but that seemed to create more demand and buyers are back with a vengeance.
Does this mean that everything is back to normal? No, not even close. Virus-wise very little has changed from the end of March and we owe it to ourselves and each other to continue to be careful. It’s vital (literally) to take great care on behalf of people susceptible to this virus. For me this means precautions that affect the way I work.
There are very few official rules on how real estate is to be conducted right now. For everyone’s safety I have chosen to wear a mask and gloves whenever interacting with clients or properties. I ask my clients to wear masks as well, and the gloves allow me to open doors and touch things so they don’t have to. We maintain six feet apart wherever possible, no shared car rides, and long conversations are had outdoors.
Let me know if you need to buy or sell. We can do it together, and we can stay safe at the same time.
